The Insider Movie Review

Michael Mann really knows how to choose the script, and actors I might add. This film is a thriller with excellent performances are characterized by lines. To observe the fine points of observation Russell against the machine of big tobacco companies riveting, especially when the rider does not take account of the company that once worked pitted Russell shows no remorse, no, that its product actually killing people.

The film covers a lot of real life on the earth worldTobacco, as it should be in view of the film, based on the true story of Jeff Wigand, the man, the inner workings of the Company of tobacco for which he worked suspended. There are a lot of politics and play, to be sure. The dynamic between Al Pacino and his boss is particularly convincing when the network is aware that the interview with Wigand did it because they do not want to upset its shareholders embarrassing Drop Tobacco Company is facing. There is a commentthere on investigative journalism that is relevant, especially when they stop and start disturbances news business? Ethical, moral, and do the right thing, are themes in the foreground of the film to be made for some dramatic narrative and spiritual.

Al Pacino is still at the top of his game playing 60 minutes trying to journalists Wigand to tell his story. In many ways, but the performance of Russell Crowe in the shade of a simple man all day JeffWigand (no joke!). He totally covers the character, his insecurities, his fears and weaknesses. One feels for the boy, tried to do the right thing, but the world unravels around him. Christopher Plummer is excellent as Mike Wallace, the scene where you see that was written, do business is to maintain an effective and a pleasure to watch.

Michael Mann's film would not be without doco style of work, hand-held camera and fun frames. Seeing this makes the filmuncomfortable for your eyes (on DVD, okay). In some cases, I wondered why she was so frame the shot? I know he wants to establish a style all his own, but what kind of shaky, double pull-focus work, if not used regularly and in a movie I might add that is not really a thriller full of action actually works to the detriment of the film. script quality, quality and technology in film quality. Some of the musical choices are a bit 'strange as well - for oh so arty'sOpera is broken. This will help "improve" the character of inner turmoil (a key word at the end of the film comes to mind).

Overall, this is a fascinating intellectual film with exceptional results. He could have done much better with the technology of film, but what we have.
