Movie Review - The Convent

The monastery is relatively fun and extremely low-budget B-movie that desperately wants to be Evil Dead, but without response. It 'was in 2000, directly on screen, and a small fan base playing released. The film begins with a flashback to 1950, where a young girl shooting style, the monastery, in the best display of mass around .. clergyside because, well, I always think. If anyone knows of another film that can shoot the nuns and priests different functions, compare, let me know. Those who may be offended by you, members of the clergy need not worry if brutally murdered, these nuns were possessed by demons, and performed an abortion on a woman-cannon, for unknown reasons, so it deserves so.

After the story of a hapless pair of teenagers, including but certainly not limited to, a discerning goth, a reform goth cum jock, a cheerleader and a virgin desperate annoying, the film actually the full range of horror> Movie cliches. Our hero, a series of ridiculously bad, but entirely predictable, the jury horror end calls on the run from cd demonic zombie nuns (do not you think that would actually stay dead is not through?). As you can imagine with a subject, the film is, which is itself too seriously, and as it is clear that stereotypes are mostly intentional. In fact, I found it to be for the first 20 minutes or so funny, butbe tedious, as the film progresses. The aspiring fans of Satan, who are my SNL "Goth Talk" flashbacks, one of the parties legitimately entertaining movie. Coolio makes his cameo appearance in the later fun fun, but overall, the film strains to laugh, and most often comes off as unintentionally funny at times inadequate.

Adrienne Barbeau also makes a cameo appearance as the older version a bit 'mad with our teenagersNun killer. Horror fans will recognize without doubt have made a series of John Carpenter flicks from the early '80s, through the fog. Unfortunately, it has little to do here, and I think the film could explore his character more, or at least give them more time did not receive any kick-ass screen.

The trick jaw drop and Gore effects of low-budget as superior (but most) Evil Dead are unavailable, and in general, is the work of special effects in this movierather sloppy. Some of the gore effects are intelligent, but the zombies look like people with a little 'make-up, put it under a black light, while a sort of attack. The end of the film also features perhaps one of the worst experiments, a special effect I've seen in recent times.

All in all, this is not a movie, I want to see again from me, but it remains to be seen, especially with a group of friends for bad movie night. After all, how many sisters spastic zombiewill be seen in movies today?
