Glasgow & West - Thursday, January 6, 2011

Top story: Following the death of a new mother from swine flu, the Scottish Government urges all pregnant women to have the anti-flu vaccination. In other news: hundreds of Scottish nurseries remain open despite being deemed unsatisfactory; a Scottish couple have been jailed for a total of 15 months for a string of physical assaults on children at a care home on Jersey; calls for a ban on deep water drilling off Scotland's shores have been rejected by MPs; and in sport, Celtic's move for Erik Huseklepp has hit a snag following a breakdown in relations between the player and his current employers. This is an international version that may have been edited for rights reasons.
