Movie Review - Beyond Rangoon

Beyond Rangoon is a drama, with many deaths and bloodshed. The film's main character, Laura Bowman, played by Patricia Arquette, has recently returned from their home countries in the United States found murdered in her husband and son. In order to clarify their thoughts and get back on track, taking his sister Laura, Andy Bowman, an exotic trip in Burma.

This film takes a number of international issues and on the basis of the fact that Burma aunstable country run by a military dictatorship. The shooting of this film was made in countries all over Burma and Malaysia as the United States is hateful to each other. Government of Burma is very aggressive and not afraid to kill its citizens, especially during a democratic uprising, as shown in the film. A woman named Aung San Suu Kyi, is still alive and under house arrest today, was responsible for the creation of hope and joy that democracy to take one day Burma.

Whileparade with their supporters in Burma, Aung San Suu Kyi met with military force. They forced the men with guns drawn to step aside as he watched Laura Bowman walk up all the time. Bowman then return to their hotel, only to find after Aung San Suu Kyi with admiration that the military police were waiting for her with her sister. They were all invited to the next day because Bowman is not satisfied with Burma curfew laws for Americans.

While preparing forleave Burma for safety, Laura Bowman realized that he had stolen his passport, and the night before a demonstration of democracy. She was forced to remain in Burma, and her sister and her boyfriend Andy flew in a neighboring country. Laura decided that although there is still a lot of shooting and killing you in the streets because of the democratic uprising, they were going to hire a tour guide in the country. Your guide will take you through several military checkpoints during corruptionmilitary posts in his 1970 Chevrolet. to stop talking, two of them, then from a house full of students, their love for Aung San Suu Kyi. But a short stay for the messages reached them that the military is to kill as they are not all in accordance with the dictatorship of convictions.

The poles of the Group on their cars and left for the local train station. The guide ends up being on the run after the military acknowledges the shotProfessor and rebel against the dictatorship. Laura, leaving the train was already on board, come back to save the professor and pushes him away in Chevrolet. They end up by the military who are trying to kill her, as Laura followed the professor's car runs into a river. The two have to swim in the river under some brush on it while you shoot to escape.

They finally found a local man with two Burmese boys, take along the river to findMedicine. The professor was shot in the chest and disappears in a hurry, but Laura Bowman is a doctor who can save him if they find medical and surgical instruments. Laura and the Professor, then in a Burmese village where Laura steals from the military guards to stop and find a medical facility. It receives its instruments and drugs, and is ready to go, if a guard catches her. He decides not to kill, but wants them to perform sexual favors. He was lucky to borrow a weaponthe man who floated the river in his boat and shoot the guard in the military to escape his leg.

Bowman and Professor of the boat on the river, until the return to earth and try to flee to Thailand. There are thousands of dead and still trying to escape, but they can board a former military truck full of refugees on their way to safety. Again, they are hunted by a military jeep, which forcesback from the road and river. Laura and the Professor manage to escape again, and many of the refugees and start hiking through the woods.

After a walk in the woods for several hours, they met again with the military resistance. The common theme in this film is that the Burmese military it does not matter who you are, if you kill the suspect will not hesitate. A friendly group of underground military arrives and fights against the cruel militaryGroup allows refugees the right to cross a bridge over the river and safely enter Thailand. The military dictatorship has missiles and guns away and kill three or four more refugees if they had security in sight. A young man is killed while her baby and forced the hand of his son while his wife floated down the river until his death. Laura is sure to comfort the wife when she and the professor to cross the bridge in Thailand.

Overall, this film was very intense and a bit 'trivial at times. There are some obvious bad acting by some of the foreign actors in the film. Also at the end of the bridge to safety in Thailand, a large sign that says "Welcome to Thailand." This part of the film seems very realistic and how it was all too happy about the ending. If everyone in Thailand, through a Red Cross hospital where Laura uses her skills to use in the treatment of all injured people of Burma. This> Film had a very good action and gives much history of Burma and its diplomatic relations with the world. I give this movie a 3.5 from 5
