Search for "Lost" Lessons of Italian cinema reveals vital business

Here's great news for fans of the epic film ...

A largely forgotten 1942 film version of the autobiographical novel of the late Ayn Rand We the Living was published for the first time on DVD.

It 's a long and winding road for this film was.

I think some important lessons for aspiring entrepreneurs are found along this road. But I get this in a second.

We the Living was produced in Italy during the Second World War. But after a brief theatrical journey that MussoliniGovernment realized that, hey, screening a film about a young independent woman fighting against a police state was probably a bad idea, in a fascist country. So removing the film and ordered destroyed.

Nearly two decades later, Erika and Henry Mark Holzer, legal representatives of Ayn Rand, one of the films. They promised to track down a copy and then re-releases.

As Henry Mark Holzer said his challenges include finding the film,Cutting a deal with the owners, a copy of flammable nitrate negative impact on security, delivery of materials from Rome to New York under intense scrutiny from U.S. Customs, and once again cut the film to four hours.

Moreover, they had so far not write subtitles exist, make a deal with the estate of Ayn Rand, find a dealer, and the promotion of the film.

"In addition to this," Holzer said: "It 'been easy."

We the Living was a finalist for the first time in 40 selectedYears at the Telluride Festival in Colorado in 1986. Since then it has an "art house" Favorite, and as I said before, is now home for viewing on DVD.

OK, what lessons business can learn from Holzer "story?

1) excellent product - be it a movie, a book, a series of instructional videos, whatever - can and must find its market, despite the odds, if you fight a champion for them.

2)Set a target and creating a plan, is the only way that can make the invisible visible. (Or a movie "Lost in an underground classic.)

3) determination can overcome anything, so much.

AIM Icons

AIM or America Online Instant Messaging is a fast, effective and simple way to communicate on the internet. Any two people having the software can communicate instantly. Messages are relayed to and fro within a matter of microseconds. It is safe, private and highly used. But as any other software program, AIM also underwent major changes and one of the biggest and best changes to ever happen in the history of instant messaging was the introduction of AIM Icons.

AIM Icons

AIM Icons are small images with a maximum size of 50x50 pixels. Yet they represent a person in the virtual world. The aim Icon is symbolic of the person now. They may be the actual picture of the user or a graphical image representing the user. It may range from animated cartoons to flashy text. Many users change the AIM Icons depending on their mood. If they are having a bad day, you may clearly see it in the Aim Icon. On the other hand if they are having a great time, it reflects as well.

The Origin

AIM picked up the idea of incorporating icons into their program from video games. They picked up the avatar and modified it into a miniature version called the icon or the buddy icon. What this did was that it gave a new lease of life to people who were bored with mundane text. It bought about a breath of freshness into the otherwise boring text based messaging service. Now a graphical image could be sent based on the user's personality or mood. Very soon everyone from superheroes to actors to cartoon characters started to feature in aim icons. From Austin Powers to Justin Timberlake, from name based personalized AIM Icons to messages, you can see them all in AIM. So if you still do not have an AIM Icon till now, then go ahead and get it.
